SQL Guild

Every Query Is a Quest

Work within a fantasy guild — manage adventurers, fulfil quests, and help build the guild's reputation with every new request. Real SQL syntax, real practice, told as a story.

Learn By Actually Querying

Every exercise runs against a real, seeded guild database — no setup, no separate practice environment, no local installs. Open the ledger and start pulling adventurers, quests, and creatures the moment you arrive, building the exact query instincts expected on the job.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any SQL experience to start?

No. Levels start from SELECT and WHERE and build up in order — DELETE doesn't show up until you've had plenty of practice with WHERE first.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Every query runs against a sandboxed, seeded database in your browser session — try it yourself in the demo above.

What's the difference between Levels and Practice?

Levels are the story: guild dialogue and exercises in a fixed order that unlock as you pass them. Practice is on-demand revision — pick a difficulty and quantity, or let it auto-build a set from what you haven't mastered yet.

How is my score calculated?

Accuracy, time taken, and mistakes are tracked per exercise; a level passes at its stated passing-criteria percentage, with a higher grade tier for especially strong runs.

Where can I read more about the guild's world and the full curriculum?

The About page has the full guild lore and the complete list of SQL topics covered, level by level.
